  A Funny Thing Happened

I don't really have a funny story that happened with me on this week. But I want to write about interesting day today. Today people of Chicago celebrate St. Patrick's Day! Actually an official day is March 17th,but in Chicago, I think it's usual to make a parades on Saturday or on weekend. On this week I learnt more about this feast. It is really Irish day and it came from Ireland. Today Chicagoans wear in green clothing, drink green beverages and celebrate on the river which also dyeing in green.
The history started around A.D.390 when Maewyn Succat (he is St. Patrick) was born in United Kindom in an aristocratic Christian family. Than he was kidnapped and taken to Ireland as a slave to herd and tend to sheep. When Patrick was about twenty he get a dream from God, who told him to goto the coast and leave Ireland, he  just escaped. Many years later, Patrick returned to Ireland as a bishop to preach the word of God. He and his disciples preached and converted thousands, and they began build churches  all over country. One more detail is shamrock. Patrick used the shamrock just to explain the Trinity ( The Father, the Son, and The Holy Spirit).
I think it's a good story which worthy to celebrate!

Differences between 2009 and 2014 in my life.

I think my life changed a lot and I think still changing but not me. Last week my universities classmates went to the restaurant in my hometown. We didn't see each other almost 5 years and of course I couldn't visit them now! I haven't noticed how 5 years passed. It was so fast.
What the differences between Me now and Me 5 years ago? I think changed life, but I'm who I'm even if passed many years.
Of course, I couldn't imagine what is going to happened in the future. I always had my own goal to come here and get an American education .    Maybe I started value people and relation with them more. Around 1,5 years ago I moved to Chicago. So, I can say  about myself that I changed country, places, environment, people, job. If I would say just in  one word so it should be "everything"!
If I move forward it means I live.

Guns in America

To own a gun it's two sides of one medal. Gun it's a weapon no matter it protect of you or use like a tool of hunting. I want to explain two points of my opinion.
One and the most important reason, why people keep in their own gun are serve and protect. Yes, may be  in individual cases, but not in all of them. When people keep weapon in the houses, in places where live their family. I don't think that it should be safe for all of members,  I mean especially for children. Even, if one of the member of family (wife or husband) pass the test to get in their own gun, it doesn't mean that other member should to pass. That's why so many accidents that children at school shoot the people. It show us that children just took  a parent's own gun a go to school or streets to kill someone who really irritate them. We may see terrible examples  of mass murder like Virginia Tech.
Another purpose to keep a gun is  for hunting or requirement of job, I mean if you policeman or soldier. I think it must be more necessary for that purposes not for every citizen.

My decision!

When I came the first time the U.S. I heard a lot about Chicago. Many students like me told me that it's a wonderful city, beautiful architectures, and etc. At home in Russia, Chicago city also popular because of it was a gangster's city. Yes, the mafia made a famous this city in America and may be around the world.
Why I came to Chicago? There are many reasons.
One of the reason are opportunities. Big city are big opportunities! Here, in Chicago we have a good chance to find a good job.
The second reason, that brought me here of course EDUCATION! I knew that in the big city located many language schools. I knew that here I can find a good school, and it  will be more cheaper than in Russia.
Due to a person, who I really didn't know just helped me to find accommodation when I were in Moscow and he also met me in the airport. It was a third cause of my coming to Chicago.
I told about main reasons of my decision.
I thought about other megapolises in America, but inside of me I felt like a voice inside of me, I have to come to Chicago, that's why I 'm here!
